Tumblr’s Trust & Safety has not acted on reports for over two months, pretending neutrality while doing nothing. In reality, this “non-intervention” is not impartiality but passive complicity: they simply wait until one side mass-reports the other into an automatic account suspension. By refusing to stand with anyone, they empower group harassment and allow targeted users to be erased without even a warning or a chance to appeal.
But I need to emphasize again: even after restoring my blog, Tumblr still allows hate accounts to exist. Their moderation logic isn't about protecting victims, but rather letting harassment continue until one side breaks down first.
Tumblr "quietly" notified me three hours ago that the deleted blog has been restored; there's a high chance this post played a role (decentralized communities like Lemmy are easily picked up by search engines). Compared to Bluesky’s decision to permanently ban me within three hours, Tumblr's security team at least showed some hesitation, which is commendable. In any case, thank you to everyone who liked my posts here.
