And rightly so! 😇

Hey, at least they got it to work! Progress has to start somewhere.

This was a nice read and the theme looks really nice. Great job on rewriting so much and improving the documentation.

Mmm, that is true. But honestly, the amount of carbonation I do get is enough, for me. Just enough to make it taste a bit fancier.

Oh whoops, thanks for the correction!

Sounds like... Dykes. See: The Netherlands.

My Sodastream has saved me a lot of money—with some cheap syrups I just make very inexpensive nice drinks. Especially considering I got mine second-hand and refill it through a local guy who fills the cylinders for half the price. I suppose I could save even more money if I figure out how to refill the cylinders myself.

I don't know, but if it supports VIA / QMK then yes! You can ask around on the OpenRGB Discord for help. (And no, in fact, I'm not sure what these things mean 🙈)

Oof, I feel you on the video call thing. I use a semi-complicated setup of switching between (7.1 surround) speakers and headphones, plugged into two separate sound cards, too... And a Zoom recorder connected with USB for sound, and Droidcam for a webcam. So many possible points of failure. I had it all working during COVID, but when I have to video call now, I just install the needed app and use my phone 🙈

@vikingtons@lemmy.world Yes—in fact, that was one of the main requirements I had when looking for one! Just flashed it with Colorhoster to be able to use it with OpenRGB, and now I have this really nice music equalizer working on it. I really enjoy that 😁

@vikingtons@lemmy.world Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that! I edited the post to say—it's a V5 Max, so made from plastic instead of aluminum. But that can help with the sound, as I've heard, and I must say I do like the sound, so far.

Been watching a bunch of Hipyo videos, lately 🙈

Just got this puppy second-hand for a reasonable price. A Keychron V5 Max... I would've liked another brand, but these were just the only ones with VIA I could find second-hand nearby.

The plan is to slowly customize it with second-hand switches and keycaps, 'cuz I can't really justify buying new stuff... Financially and environmentally!

Also part of the plan is opening it up to add some foam and do a tape mod... Curious what that'll do. I already stuck some painter's tape on the inside of the space bar, backspace, backward slash and enter keys, which makes a big difference already!

...But man, it's hard to resist the temptation to order something new anyway. Also, does anyone have any tips for making the key with the Windows logo into a little Tux? I found this, but I don't think that would ever look actually pretty...
