I caved and saw Ares last weekend. Tron legacy is one of my all time favorite movies so I’ve always been wanting another and would occasionally look up rumors about sequels. When the Ares trailer dropped I was super excited…until the end when it showed Leto. I had forgotten the rumors had mentioned he was involved.

Still, I went and saw the movie. It’s by no means as good as legacy, I scored it a 6/10. Something that I’d rather not watch again, but also something that I felt wasn’t a complete waste of time. But I’m easy to entertain.

What stood out to me while watching Ares was how well legacy holds up today compared to current special effects and CGI. Doesn’t really seem like much difference in that regard between the two movies. Of course, Daft Punk’s soundtrack is second to none, but I think NIN still did a good job.

Guess I’ll just need to continue rewatching legacy whenever I feel the Tron itch, which I’m not complaining about.

Going off the paper’s abstract it sounds like it isn’t a permanent conversion into the universal blood type O. The abstract mentioned an immune response against the kidney at day 3. Also, there’s more factors that determine organ transplant compatibility other than blood type matching (which seems to be what this research touched on). So it is an important step but there’s still other factors that also need to be addressed before an organ transplant process can truly be called universal based on my knowledge.

Just finished Sphere by Michael Crichton this morning on my commute. And started State of Fear by Michael Crichton on my evening commute 😅. Kinda binging through his books currently and saving Jurassic park for last.

I’m eagerly waiting for CarPlay support so I can fully switch over. That’s the only reason I still have organic maps.

Seems to work fine as a PWA-esque shortcut on iOS for the time being

Yep, it’s in settings under the filter and blocks section. Just tried it myself. Make sure to use the same apostrophe as they do in their titles, I just copy pasted a title up to the work part. Or you could add a filter for the comic website.

People can easily make create a filter since OP uses the same title format for the posts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve been noticing the filtered keywords will reset occasionally. Not sure if it’s just a random thing occurring or if it’s whenever there’s a new TestFlight build pushed. I’m on iOS 17.2 public beta.
