You can write comments, but you can't make your colleagues read them. They don't necessarily have to visit the originating file to read the docs.

Short variable names tend to lead different people to make different kinds of assumptions about the purpose and use of the variable. Those differences in understanding is where a lot of subtle bugs come from, or causes people to hit a dead end.

Just be clear and explicit. Its not gaming; you dont have to care about losing a couple extra frames to type out a few extra characters. Most IDEs have sufficient autocompletes so it's literally not even a problem in many cases.

Not educated and intelligent people, wealthy investors.

We're sighing at having to build all these features the boss wants and we know they are stupid and we see the lost oppertunity cost that could have been used to improve other things instead. I'm tired and the job market is so ass right now.

People with constant exposure to oxygen will die. Nobody has ever survived long term contact with it.

The illusion of power is not the same as actually having it. I wish more men understood this. There is no republican policy that actually empowers working class men to do better in their lives. The sports of dunking on liberals is a distraction from the fact that republicans have no plan to help their constituents.

Also, like whiny crybabies like the former president are not masculine and definitely not role models for such. If he was, then republican men would find dates a lot easier. This faked version of masculinity is not fooling women, who see the whiny, fragile intolerance for what it is: a cowardly fear of everyone different than themselves. Incels under republican rule will still never get dates, and they never have in whatever rose glasses version of the past theyre idealizing. Hateful cowards simply aren't attractive. The "return" to power isn't there. Its a lie.

edit: my bad i thought i was in c/politics

I feel bad for the parents because I bet so many of them are unaware of the totally greedy changes Disney has put in these last 5 years. Their parents took them to Disneyland so they just do the same for their own kids.

Anyway, they monetized their "fast pass" system in a way that they have an economic incentive to keep lines long. - despite everyone having smartphones, and despite Disney already having a park app for people to use. I won't be visiting while that's in effect, that's for sure.

Ah, so that's what the pro gamers are doing.

Self-reporting survey of subjective symptoms is the lowest possible standard to have. This is some wakefield-tier garbage. Thanks, now I'll know to avoid the LA Times.

Beds really changed the whole game.

Building a base didn't just mean a place to put your chests, it also had to be a place worth spending the whole night in. I cared a lot about making the interior a nice place to be. And the exterior of the base had to be a good fort too because you couldnt skip all the monster spawns at night.

Back then I took minecraft to be like a fort building game. Explore by day and craft by night. The first night I spent huddled in a small dark grave i dug for myself in a wall. It taught me that a good base was important.

I think beds were added in the halloween update if i remember right. I was blown away how they skipped monster spawning. That's when I felt the game changed direction the hardest, because you no longer needed a base to survive.

I'm less concerned about the client side ui layout, so much as for enabling spamvertisements. So for example if a feature is added to be able to search by tag someday, then theres a potential for people to try and abuse that by labeling irrevelant things under tags in order to get attention.

I've experimented with other platforms before, and whenever a search feature gets added in any system that supports multiple tags, you start seeing posts with literally two dozen or more trending tags, and its irrevelant spam. I think the big proprietary platforms like tumblr have tools to moderate these, but I am aware that a community-led version of fighting spam has different needs and tools

Theres likely a way to incorporate downvotes into the server search algo, so it isnt surfacing junk for example. All of that is just one idea of a complete plan for helping the community to moderate spam. I'm not proposing any complete strategy here.

All I'm trying to get across: don't forget to anticipate spam, and give the platform and users tools to defeat it.

While black appears to have advantage when they fire the gun, white has enough mana to respond with [Path to Exile] at instant speed, exiling the King from the battlefield. On the stack, the exile effect resolves before the bullet does, and black loses the game.

Unfortinately for black, the Draw 4 only helps whites game, allowing them to find their removal faster.
