Thank you! I am always curious about what other people have in their bags and pockets. REI is the best!! Unfortunately I got my bag over a decade ago at a thrift store, but I did find a similar one on poshmark. Mine is an earlier iteration of this one with a stitched logo, but everything else looks the same. It's indestructable, the only wear is the coating on the innermost pocket is beginning to peel, and the printed design on the front has faded off.

Congrats, what a relief! I've found a lot of people take their cues from me as far as how I act when telling them. If I drop it in casually they take it casually. If they make it a big deal when I'm trying to be casual about it, then it's a yellow flag.

What a journey! It sounds like the labels were holding you back rather than helping. I'm happy you found love and acceptance without having to navigate labels!
I've also had some experiences with labels holding me back, especially when I was questioning and didn't know how to answer when I was beginning to date other queers. A lot of people interpreted that as me being noncommital, unfortunately. Nowadays I've become a label collector, though I tend to share them on a need to know basis.
