The number of people I know in America who "can't" drink just water and have to have some syrup flavored drink instead is astounding. Dude, you're complaining about your weight. Maybe cut back on the sugar for one drink per day.

Am I supposed to care about the Fauci museum exhibit?

No, I care about being able to rely on the federal government doing what it said it would do. So that if I get a federal contract I know that I'm not going to bankrupt my company by following through on my side of the deal, never knowing if they're going to renege on their part.

The Fauci museum is more than halfway through the period the money was supposed to be spent during. Does that mean we have spent $90K to get nothing? That doesn't sound so fiscally conservative.

Also, fuck the Daily Mail for propagating bullshit talking points about COVID being created in a US government lab in China (long established as false.)

Beyond Betrayal

Do these dumb motherfucker even know what betrayal means? He's not betraying you, he's doing what he said he would do. For once in his life you should have believed him.

They have taken control of personnel and payment systems because they knew the people running them would obey the law. And these people do not give a fuck about the law.

I have a homeassistant instance connected to a no-name Z-wave thermostat. It's been flawless for almost 10 years.

I agree that there is genocide happening. I also understand that the guy who got elected is actively in favor of it and wouldn't lift a finger to stop it if everyone in the country begged him, while the person who lost was trying to balance millions of conflicting priorities (and sadly those dying are not the top priorities) and the result isn't what I want. There are other things to consider after you realize you're not going to get what you want.

That's a solid argument against a thing I didn't say.

I've literally been pulled over for doing doughnuts (in a parking lot) before.

Weird how the rules don't apply to them.

I get the impression is that in your mind there are only two teams: people who agree with you 100% and everyone else.

I don't think I've ever heard a Trump promise that was actually achievable.

This thread is full of people comparing OPs hypothetical about 10 years from now with last year's capability.

Will AI progress that fast? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It probably won't get that good, but it doesn't matter. If it gets as good as your average junior that's going to mean something like 100% increase in productivity, which means 50% as many jobs and that's going to be a BIG FUCKING DEAL.

Especially when it's going to be replacing a lot of other types of office workers. What kind of job is your average software dev going to transition to? Tech support? Not anymore. UI Designer? LOL. Manager? And who are you going to be managing?

If the US doesn't hit 15-20% unemployment in the next 10 years I'll eat my hat. I'll be eating it either way because I'll be starving to death.

I have to say that, in spite of surely well earned the reputation furries have for being nice people, that is one of the weirdest suggestions I've ever heard.

Substitute furries for any other sexual endeavor.

Look up BDSM groups around you. No, you don’t have to be a dom/sub to go to one.

Look up gender transition groups around you. No, you don’t have to be trans to go to one.

YES, YOU FUCKING DO!
