Well I prefer termusic, but ncmpcpp is good too. Never heard about mopidy tho.

Yeah but they could add it to the menu where you chose what apps to install, so I can decide not to have it(they could also add a warning if you don't have any browser).

I use calyxos btw. The only thing I can complain about is their default wallpaper. I do like how you can choosr which apps you want during the setup, but sadly chromium will always be installed :(

True, but also maybe insurances shouldn't be companies. Their buisness model is based on fear.

There's also XMPP(on which whatsapp is based on), it's quite good with OMEMO.

New idea: TCP/IP is way too old and was never made to be secure(especially with ARP and DNS) so we need to kill them. We should definitely use Reticulum instead and use its LXMF to send messages and cryptographic identities to login to services.

Good luck getting people to change :)

I'm pretty sure they mostly do it for the profit.

Isn't it that they just don't care?

I usea a tiling wm(sway) so workspaces are part of my workflow. 1: browsers 2: terminals 3: terminals(part 2) 4: chats(XMPP, LXMF, email...) 5: IDE(helix) 6: games(supertuxkart) 7: keepassxc 8: Tor browser 9: misc 0: music

There is microg which can replace GMS. But we really need an alternative, not based on some company's shit.

failure to comply could result in fines of up to 10% of global revenue or courts blocking services

So most federated platforms should be fine, as they don't have any revenue(usually) and blocking is hard because DNS is easy to bypass and there just are so many instances already.
