The term "shaheed" translated to martyr is used in different ways.
First reference is for fighters who die in a holy war.
The second is used for those innocent who didn't fight, but were murdered unjustifiably.
It's a cultural thing that people unfamiliar with Arab/muslim traditions don't understand.
I don't use the term, as I'm not religious, but when I post from Palestinian sources, I share what they wrote.

If you have calcium deficiency, you can solve it by using egg shells, bake them for a few minutes in the oven at 120 deg. C, crush them and add some vinnegar to it and let it sit over night.
Then use the "juice" and mix it with 10 times it's volume water. Water your plants every other day with it and it fixes it.

@fossilesque I met a few Israeli soldiers who were part of the "refusenik" movement when I was active with Amnesty. The group changed its name to "Breaking the silent".
I heard similar testimonies from the soldiers who served during the second Intifada and had traumatic memories about their treatment of Palestinians, specially children.

Remember back in 2008, there was a video of a Gaza man hit by a sniper when he went helping an injured civilian, he was down, trying to get to safety, but was shot twice on camera.
No one cared then, just like now
