For the last couple of months my instance has stopped every week or so and I get some server error like

Process "459072" from pidfile not found, deleting pidfile

I havent seen anyone else post about this, but it seems something to do with mongo database. Any ideas?

On my nodebb instance the settings permit large picture size uploads, but everytime I try to paste a picture in a post I get an error. Same happens when I try and load a moderately large .png file. The error just says error. No details just (error) written after e.g. .....9-image.png](error)

I looked in the logs but no details there either on why it failed. The image posts in this site no problem

It does seem related to the size, as smaller images will load, but both are smaller in memory size than the maximum allowed in ACP

Something I've always thought would be incredibly useful, and it should not be difficult to do: To have html/javascript run in a post. (If posted as one block in html tags).

It works in widgets so should be possible in posts, as html gets picked up by the browser Why would this be useful ... is to have all sorts of interactive things! I currently have some one file mini games and utilities that I put in widgets.

Now, not sure how hard it would be to have activitypub also send html, so nodebb instances could share html posts between instances! julian could Activitypub handle that?

So when I post some of my topics as links externally, it shows NodeBB picture, not my site graphics. Where do I load an image for my site to show?

Im using nodebb for some teaching. It works well on google meet especially with the 'spoiler' feature to reveal answer. However the progress bar gets in the way '2 out of 5' etc How to remove this. Im sure its some CCS involved?

On fullscreen this bar goes, but I use half screen for zoom so keep nodebb to half screen, then the bar shows

on my nodebb site, I posted and someone replied. There is now a thin slice inbetween their post showing Admin in small letters and a slice of the photo in the post! What is that for?

Is there any problem with this site / host? Its been slow / not working earlier today?

Also, I think this may be a bug ... I had a test 'federated post' that I deleted. Now the post has gone, it makes the World page on this site hang when it doesnt find it

I have section on nodebb forum that can only be viewed by verified users. If email is not going through, so they cant self-validate, can I as Admin verify them?

Im doing some education material on a nodebb forum, where want the answer hidden until its clicked. I think its possible in HTML, as saw spolier somewhere before?

So to have something like Why did the chicken cross the road Answer When Answer is clicked it changes to To get to the other side

How to enter this?

I followed mander@medicine.xyz from my account on this instance, and another nodebb instance. This one shows Following, the other shows pending! Follows dont need acceptance do they, why the difference?

Also, why a settings icon only on my nodebb instance?!

Very complicated all this Fediverse stuff! Far from the dream of having one account for everything, I seemed to need an account on every service to get the whole picture. I have now Nodebb, Mastodon, Lemmy, PixelFed and Peertube! I dont know if Im just not using it properly, or if seeing everything from any one of these site is even possible? @julian how far off is the prospect of using my nodebb account for all Federated chat, is that even achievable in long term?

I figured my default install Theme must not be Harmony (which is this one right?)

I went to ACP > Themes and I was surprised to see both Harmony and Persona listed as 'the default' and the forum is supposedly on Harmony already. So why dont I get the boxes at the top?
