The brothers, Elias Abu al-Jibeen, 5, and Ismail Abu al-Jibeen, 8, were wounded during Israeli bombardment on their displacement camp in Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood on 31 August.

The attack left Elias completely deaf and Ismail with severe hearing loss.

Just a year earlier, Abu Auda had fled her home in northern Gaza after Israeli missiles flattened it and killed her husband.

Germany has, for the first time, withheld its support for extending the mandate of the UN Palestinian refugee agency, UNRWA.

At a preliminary vote in a UN General Assembly subcommittee in New York, the German representative abstained on Wednesday.

Germany is revoking the citizenship of a recently naturalised man of Syrian background in Berlin after he allegedly praised Hamas on Instagram one day after receiving his German passport.

If the decision becomes final, he will lose his German citizenship and the authorities would then have to decide in a separate procedure whether he can remain in Germany at all.

Based on our update server download statistics, GrapheneOS is approaching 400k users around the world. A majority of those users are in Europe with a large number in France. Only a small handful of people being arrested who use it is in fact strong evidence against their claims.
