My opinion as well

Thank you for addressing that.

I was expecting a statement about mod integrity on 196 and Moss leaking DMs to start drama, but after sleeping on it I think that some of the issues raised by HB are somewhat disingenuous (e.g. the transphobia cited). I still have concerns about the maturity of the 196 mod team though.

For what it's worth, this whole situation just shows how good of an admin you are. For that I don't think I'm leaving

I really wanted the two instances to stay federated and advocated for such, but now I'm not sure if I even want to be here. Here's hoping we can commandeer 196 and make sure it's based and doesn't end up like the reddit one

I'm happy to apply if it means I can ban you

Well this has certainly turned into a shitshow....

Voiding my warranty is always the first thing I do to a phone, it's quite cathartic. Now if the Samsung boot loader would stop bitching at me about it every time I boot the damn thing that would be great lol

I've been using it since it succeeded Antergos (2019ish) and I've really enjoyed it, I use it on most of my systems! It has really sane defaults and makes for a good Arch experience that doesn't involve setting things up yourself. If you like XFCE, they have the best out of the box theming I've seen a distro have for it, but there are other DEs that you can pick (I think you need internet access during the install IIRC).

It has its own repository that has some nice apps in it (like AUR helpers). The community around the distro is also really good, whenever I've come across an issue posted on the forums everyone seems really chill and noob friendly.

Other than that, it's basically a GUI Arch installer (an amazing one at that!) that doesn't get in your way and it just works. There's been probably one problem, in the four years I've used it, that wasn't caused by me breaking things (the grub incident), but the distro's response to that was very well done.

The only other distros I use are Arch and Debian, but EndeavourOS is always my recommendation for people newer to Linux. It just works.

I did this by hand, so that's why this isn't all of them. I just did the top 5 plus lemmy.nz. I don't know if I got the users / instance right, but the results seem reasonable.

I only posted top 100, your post is much more complete thanks :)

Also, I used cat pixels.log.txt | awk '{print $3}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr (then head -100) to parse it. Do you mind telling me what grep -o -P '[^ \t\r\n@]+[@][^ \t\r\n@]+' does in yours? It looks scary lol

The commands for the curious :3

cat pixels.log.txt | awk '{print $4, $5}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr | head -10

cat pixels.log.txt | awk '{print $3, $4, $5}' | grep '175.*171' | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr

I have this issue all the time. Sadly, for some reason it's mostly when accessing medical care.... You'd think that places that "understand" autistic people would offer a solution other than phone calls.

My friend is having issues viewing/subscribing to this community from another instance. Is it set up that way on purpose or is the community too small to be indexed?

I tried viewing here from a couple of other of instances and I just get:

404: couldnt_find_community

Wondering if this is a known issue or localised to us two. I also couldn't find any other vegan communities, so am unsure where to go from here.
