@retiolus@lemmy.cat pretty much all software should be implementing nodeinfo: https://github.com/jhass/nodeinfo
usually reachable via HTTP on an endpoint like url/nodeinfo/2.0.json

@CheeseQueen@lemmy.blahaj.zone defederation is pretty much the only form of force fediverse admins can wield -> this is not a technical thing, this is a "use our only real means of pressure against whoever doesn't participate"
