During the classic first Tennant era episode School Reunion there’s a detail that is technically correct, however it is only inadvertently correct.

When the Doctor and Sarah Jane first encounter each other, they exchanged the following dialogue:

SARAH: It's you. Oh, Doctor Oh, my God, it's you, isn't it. You've regenerated.

DOCTOR: Yeah. Half a dozen times since we last met.

Now, back in 2006, this was technically correct, as from Baker to Tennant, that was 6 regenerations e.g.

• 1: T.Baker to Davison
• 2: Davison to C.Baker
• 3: C.Baker to McCoy
• 4: McCoy to McGann
• 5: McGann to Eccleston
• 6: Eccleston to Tennant

There we have it: 6 regenerations, half a dozen exactly, and everything fit nice and snug…

Then came the War Doctor, and messed everything up 🙄.

The inclusion of the war doctor in 2013 (first appearing in the Name of the Doctor) adds another regeneration to the list, thereby breaking the Doctor’s assertion of half a dozen. It’s still close, but not quite exact. So you’d think this breaks what the Doctor said, right???

Wrong.

The fact is, there’s one detail that actually makes this statement true: the five Doctors.

Most people are assuming that when the Doctor says this, he is referring to her travels with Tom Baker as ‘the last time we met’. However, the last time the doctor and Sarah Jane met (in the mainstream show, at least; we’re not counting comics/audiobooks which completely blow this all out anyway from all angles) was in the 1983 classic The Five Doctors. And what was the latest incarnation the Doctor was in at that point? His 5th: Peter Davison. Hence, the last time the Doctor and Sarah Jane met was when he was already in his 5th incarnation and had already gone through his initial regeneration. In fact, Tom Baker famously wasn’t even in the episode, aside from a minor extra-footage cameo. Revising the list, we can therefore see that the Doctor’s assertion holds correct.

• 1: Davison to C.Baker
• 2: C.Baker to McCoy
• 3: McCoy to McGann
• 4: McGann to War
• 5: War to Eccleston
• 6: Eccleston to Tennant

Interestingly enough though, this minor detail technically only makes the statement true since 2013: before 2013, there was no War Doctor and Toby Whitehouse (the writer of the School Reunion episode) and RTD had no way of knowing that Moffat would eventually create the War Doctor, but they also never factored in the Five Doctors to that comment at the time, which is a surprising detail to miss as it technically would have made the assertion incorrect if not for the creation of the War Doctor. If they had, then technically there would’ve only been 5 regenerations since — again, a close number, but still technically incorrect:

• 1: Davison to C.Baker
• 2: C.Baker to McCoy
• 3: McCoy to McGann
• 4: McGann to Eccleston
• 5: Eccleston to Tennant

What a strange inadvertent occurrence.

The above image is a screenshot of a user named ‘Owbid Catob’ or sometimes ‘Tobi Bowdac’. This is the profile on Pinterest of a user who has, for the last few weeks, harassed the Lemmy.world Shitposts community. Below are two photos he has used as profile pics on Lemmy (he claims the above one is him younger, and the below one is presumably older)

However, this isn’t even his most disturbing behaviour.

I first came across Owbid Catob’s account on Pinterest (I’ve been following this case longer than the Jennifer Merrill case I previously posted about) about a month or two ago. Since then, I’ve been following the account due to the bizarre and disturbing content he initially posted, and watched as he linked his various social media accounts to create some sort of weird AI fetish web of social media accounts fixated on boys in dresses, and girls in cakes. He even generates fake AI images of real life children such as the British Royal Family kids, and child actors in tv shows such as one called Coronation Street, fabricating elaborate stories about how he was some sort of TV extra, which clearly isn’t true.

Some time ago, he announced on his BlueSky account that he had joined Lemmy and linked to his account (now banned). For weeks, it’s been observed that Owbid Catob routinely harasses the shitposts community by posting AI slop in massive amounts, floods other posts comments with harassment, and spits vitriol towards those who interact with him.

Tonight, about an hour ago, there was another attack, and I’ve collected a few screenshots as evidence of this user’s disturbed behaviour.

Here are two screenshots of some of his posts (they’re the account named ‘Tobs Bowdy’ and I’ve purposely made the images unclear due to the distressing nature of the content, but the titles say it all).

And here is a snippet of what he said when I tried to reach out to him.

This user has been repeatedly banned off Lemmy, but using AI or some other weird trick, he can somehow get back on almost instantly.

In addition to this, this week alone, he has mass-flooded his Pinterest account with literally hundreds of AI generated children (boys and girls) with some even going as far as to explicitly show child abuse/children with bruises and text explicitly saying they are being abused. This is a major escalation to the point that I can’t even look at his crap anymore. Additionally, in tonight’s Lemmy attack, he posted images depicting children in implicit-bordering-explicit sexual scenario (boys in questionable clothing in explicit positions, no further details unless you saw it). Up until now, all of his attacks on Lemmy were just general AI slop, but the fact that he is now explicitly showing borderline AI CP is yet another major escalation in this case, and partly why I’m posting about this now.

I was just wondering if any anti-AI members could offer any advice on what to do/who to discuss with. Everyone says ‘just ban and ignore’ but the user is persistent and constantly harasses these communities, spitting disgustingly vitriolic comments about everyone, even somehow circumventing individual user bans. Is there a way to possibly use AI or something to get the user unable to re-register/permanently banned?

Their name is Jennifer Merrill, and at first it seemed completely harmless fun — someone presumably using AI to superimpose their face onto bodies of other people in other pictures, and honestly I never thought anything of it more than that, until yesterday.

Yesterday, as I was innocuously scrolling, I saw to my horror, a picture I had uploaded months ago of my friend with this Jennifer Merrill’s face superimposed on it. I clicked on the user’s profile page and was absolutely baffled to see that this account has uploaded over 65,000 images, and as far as I can see, a lot of them seem to be of men, women, and even children with this actress’ face superimposed over them.

To be clear: as far as I can see, there is nothing ‘wrong’ with these pictures — they don’t seem to be violent or sexual in any way, and they are certainly not controversial in comparison to some of the other legitimately disgusting profiles you can find nowadays on Pinterest (I haven’t looked through all of this profile’s content obviously, so I might just be missing something).

After having a rather brief scroll through the page, I then googled the name ‘Jennifer Merrill’ and, combined with info from the Pinterest profile page description (see screenshot at the end of the post) it seems that Jennifer Merrill was, in fact, a real actress and model. However, unless this is a normal thing for sick (i.e. digital stalker) people to do, I can’t see that this account isn’t a bot using AI to superimpose this face onto unsuspecting targets for someone who most likely has some sort of fetish for this actress. And if it is run by this actual Jennifer Merrill actress, it seems like very strange behaviour, doesn’t it?
