Afaik arch doesn't apply any theming to any of the DEs/WMs in the repos, just their defaults

I don't, but I definitely don't think it would be wrong to. IP is an illegitimate idea, and has just as much legitimacy imo as a stranger telling me I'm obligated to pay them to breathe near them. I pay for some games as a donation, not a purchase.

Qubes is definitely great for privacy too, because of the inbuilt Whonix support, Tails will just be more amnesiac. If I'm allowed to be a pedant though, Qubes isn't actually a Linux distro.

I don't entirely understand Nix, but it seems super cool. Could you theoretically make a setup like this, share the magic Nix config file, and someone could reproduce your exact setup on a different machine? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?
