Too bad Isreal doesn't care, and will almost certainly indiscriminately bomb them anyways.

Multiple employees beat up a gay man after he had some PDA with his partner. No matter how you look at it the optics are horrible. Short of Mr. Dingus having a weapon or shouting slurs or something like that: there's no justification for the employees to beat and attack him.

I feel like you're jumping through several hoops to put the blame back on the person who was beaten by multiple people.

And then one of the men, pretty forcefully, like, pushed me out of the way on my shoulder,” Dingus said. “And then, you know, next thing I know, that kind of just, I think, sparked the rest of them. ... They all just kind of started attacking me at that point, dragging me back through the floor and continuously punching me in my head.”

They essentially gang assaulted Mr. Dingus, and you believe it's only because of some PDA? I highly doubt it, and believe fully that this is a case of homophobia. And almost certainly a hate crime too.

There is no justification for the shooting. Failure to follow orders and shouting obscenities, even while carrying a weapon, doesn't justify murder by police. This is another case of their blatant incompetence/malice when dealing with any tense situation.

In a just society, a cops job would be able to de-escalate and resolve the problem as cleanly as possible and with as little use of violence as possible. We don't live in a just society though, so the cops just shot him and lied saying he aimed a gun at them to justify their murder. Meanwhile, white mass shooters are taken alive and given Burger King for their effort if they hurt the right people.

Don't really care about some corporations losing out on their margins after nickel and diming everyone as high as they possibly can. Especially if the end result is someone or multiple people eating.

*By simply hating a billionaire.

Some of the criticism levied against Taylor Swift is definitely rooted in sexism, misogyny, and political bias: but not all of it.

To lump everyone criticizing Taylor Swift into the same group as the misogynists and sexists is disingenuous. She deserves criticism and is not free of it just because she's a woman.

She's also one of the most famous people in the world. So of course she's going to get more flack from her visibility alone.

Thus the following can be true: Taylor Swift isn't the only one that deserves criticism from her private jet usage. And there are those that would criticize her in bad faith because of her political alignments/because she's a woman. But even then the criticism she has received is still completely valid.

No billionaire deserves or needs special treatment.

Here's an NPR article interviewing a known geneticist and talking about Trans Athletes. Their general consensus is that there is a lack of data to make an assertion one way or the other for if trans athletes have an edge. And that's without taking into account the vast differences between each individual trans person and where they're at genetically/hormonally. Trans athletes aren't a monolith that are all the same, they can have fundamentally different circumstances and genetics between each person.

Honestly any automatic ban of trans-athletes is stupid. Michael Phelps has a natural genetic advantage when it comes to swimming, but no one of note is coming for his gold medals or saying he can't compete.

I'm not an expert on Star Wars lore, but I think it's to dehumanize them and add them to the greater force of the Empire. The Empire doesn't need individuals for its troopers, they need tools and pawns that will follow orders when given.

And since they're just pawns, typically recruited en masse, why even cash out for good armor when you can just mass produce the bear minimum for dirt cheap? That's my take anyways

Everybody repeat after me: Thank you MatPat

The fact that you only see politics as a binary system where it's one party or the other is utterly asinine. There are political bodies and philosophies outside of US Republicans and Democrats. Being left leaning doesn't automatically mean liking or believing in the platform of the Democratic party.

Minimum Wage workers/general laborers are the literal backbone of any work force. Their value is literally instrumental to any and all industries. These industries would simply collapse if minimum wage workers are taken out of the equation. And that's without pointing out that wage isn't indicative of how important someone is to a workplace.

And automation doesn't mean much when you still need an entire force to upkeep all of those machines. And I'd bet my right arm and left leg that if wage pricing is left to corporations that they'll place said workers at minimum wage if they can get away with it.

It did look very similar to GTA V, but it's also worth noting that pretty much all of the footage was from very early production. It's likely that they were using less detailed character/world models for testing purposes. I imagine the game will look pretty damn good and modern once the proper lighting and textures are applied.

Ultimately I don't remember anything incredibly interesting from the videos I saw outside of a couple of story beats revolving around the new main characters. It seemed like most of the videos were pretty much testing certain console and systems at non-specified points in game.
