I'm a strong believer in the right to association. If someone is an asshole, I want to be allowed to not have to listen to them. Might lead to echo chambers but the alternative is so much worse. If deciding who I'm allowed to not be around leads to them, so be it.

I think it's smart to start with k8s. Better than having to switch over to it later. Since lemmy is growing and will continue to grow.
Learning k8s is the more difficult part. If you know k8s well, it's much easier to deploy than an ec2 deployment. Especially if you need an ASG and ELBs
Why would health data be something you want decentralized?
The only possible usecase I can think of for that is someone who has unique info that an emergency room would need. At that point, a medical alert bracelet would be the way to communicate that. Otherwise, I want to know exactly who has my medical information. That's super sensitive info
