Now, I work more than this quote may make one think of me, but it‘s influenced me insofar as I‘m aware of not overdoing it as my employers never overdo the pay part either.
It‘s like Twitter basically, but since it‘s also in the fediverse there is a bit of overlap where Mastodon people can comment on Lemmy/kbin stuff too anyway. Usually they have something like @LostCause and hashtags like #mastodon and so on in their comments, that‘s how I typically spot them.
So their growth is relevant for us, but you don‘t need to make an account there.
Funny thing is my comment was about kbin, I just mentioned Lemmy and Mastodon as an interaction, but that is their main talking point anyway, the other ones was "too complicated" and "looks shit" and some more. They clearly don‘t have any understanding of open source or forking, so I didn‘t even bother to explain.
Also I don‘t even wanna know what ideology spez or Zuckerberg subscribe to, probably something fascist too and TikTok is also owned by tankies basically, anyway no sense in fighting that and I regret I tried, just glad I got this space with all of you to enjoy.

I‘m from the EU, but it unsettles me to know about how willing the US government and other interest groups there are to do violence to the workers to keep them in line. Whenever anyone from here brings up "why don‘t they strike for healthcare" etc, I think of this. We got a government and companies which are less willing to straight up shoot us to force the rest back to work. That helped I imagine.

Freude dabei das Wort Werbeverbot überhaupt mal zu lesen.
Leichte Enttäuschung zu erfahren, dass es nur um Zuckerkram geht.
Mittlere Enttäuschung zu erfahren, dass es anscheinend nur um das Ausstrahlen davon geht, welches ich sowieso schon aufgrund von Werbung seit 10+ Jahren vermeide.
Große Enttäuschung, als ich diese bescheuerten Zeiten gelesen habe.
Ich brauche irgendeine KI Brille auf denen ich Adblocker installieren kann um den Dreck der überall rumsteht und die Welt verschandelt auszublenden, weil sonst in ca. 30 Jahren bei der Demenz erwischt ihr mich vielleicht dabei wie ich mit einer Lanze gegen Werbetafeln kämpfe.

Pretty sure most of the more anarchist mods got pushed out sometime after the whole Fox News debacle already and since then the content has become less spicy too. Watering all that down again, what is even left?
