Thank you! This helps, and while it doesn't solve the issue of the @ being recognizable, it does solve a lot of issues.

The price of eggs in particular I haven't noticed. I have been vegan for ten years, so I am over here trying to give people tips on how and where to replace eggs with other, cheaper stuff. I do anlot of baking and cooking, so I have tried all the swaps the internet recommended and have a pretty good idea which ones work.

However, the price of food as a whole is going up as well, and I don't expect it to stop anytime soon. I am hoping to set up a 'victory garden' to try to help. If anyone else is looking into this, I recommend looking for an official victory garden guide that would have been issued for your particular area. I found one that was written by an agricultural professor at the University of Ithaca in NY, for example, and it goes over what crops and food preservation methods will work in my area. It will give you important information about temp tolerances, which is about to be more important than ever.

Anything that was a major thing in your life, good or bad, can be missed in some way once it is gone. The trick is to remember that quite a bit of that feeling is missing the predictably of daily life, not necessarily missing the thing itself.

I was also kicked out, though it was during my college years, and there are still times I find myself missing my parents, even almost 10 years later. The feeling isn't as strong, and it is mostly just me lamenting the fact that I will not have a lot of experiences most people consider universal, such as having family to visit for holidays, or having someone to talk to no matter what you have going on in your life.

It is a bit like grief. The parents you thought you had are gone, even if they are physically living, and you had no choice in the matter. The feeling will come and go, it will change over time. But it will get easier.

Out of all of the possible headlines for this study, which the article itself even critiques, why do they choose the single finding that highlights a so-called 'debate' that is often used to try to divide the trans community? It's not like specific targeting of trans women is new or unknown, and the bigger issue trans men usually face is erasure, usually in similar ways to the struggles the article cites as being faced by lesbians. The article could have picked any one of the several other findings from the survey, so why didn't they use those other findings, many of which are far more important and not as well known?

I have experience with all of those, and have played with all of them together at one point or another.

Stability is not a huge issue for most Stardew mods. In my experience, I have only had crashes if the mod was for a different game version, or if it was a mod that added in a new machine and it was missing another base mod to function. Anything that expands the world should be fine as long as you have added any mods they require to work.

Any mod that expands the minecarts has the potential to get a bit weird, but Integrated Minecarts is the best of them that I have used, so you should be okay.

Stardew Valley Expanded, while a popular mod, may not be compatible with other mods as there are several mod authors who would prefer to not work with that author or anything they make. Iirc, this is due to them having harassed other mod authors they accused of stealing concepts, as well as a lot of people not liking the fact that the author added in weird dialogue about sexual assault for one of the characters and had no warning of way to avoid it. I personally don't use it for these reasons, but I don't personally think there's anything wrong with using it, just be aware that it will have more compatibility issues than most others.

Removing almost any mod mid game will cause issues of varying degrees, since it will cause the game to try to load assets in a save that won't exist. Most mods will have a recommendation of whether or not you need a new game in order to start using a mod, and a good rule of thumb is: if it needs a new game to start, it will need a new game to remove it as well.

I highly recommend getting the Mod Updater, which you can find the link to on smapi.io, which is where I get most of my mods. They tell you if a mod is working, broken, or if you can use another mod in place of one that is broken. Also, the Mod Updater lets you make sure you get any fixes to mods, which helps cut down on a lot of issues.

If you do run into any bugs with a mod, I do recommend checking the mod page and seeing if there is a fix. Hobby mod authors are almost always releasing fixes or unofficial updates, so chances are someone may have solved the issue, of found out how you can solve it for yourself.

Finally (sorry this is so long!), I will issue one warning that is based on my personal preference and experience, so please disregard this if you feel differently: while I like the expansion mods from time to time, any mods that add in a new area tend to make me spend much less time in the original areas of the valley. This has often led to me not feeling like I am playing Stardew, and Stardew is a game that I am usually playing because I want to play Stardew, as opposed to playing it to pass the time of passively enjoy. If you play for a similar reason, then I would stick to mods that add new stuff to the existing valley, rather than adding new areas outside of it. There are plenty of both, so you won't be limited either way. But again, that is my preference, just wanted to share because I have heard similar feelings from other modded players.

Hope this helps!

The fact that you also posted this to Lemmyshitpost is telling.

While you are correct that it will likely be expensive, it is important to note that Descovy is an existing PreP pill that Gilead makes. So the cost of the new shot is yet to be determined, but the company has been criticized for the cost of their current PreP medication option.

It is also important to note that anyone with insurance in the United States will pay nothing, as the Affordable Care Act requires insurance to cover all PreP medications at no cost to patients. The pricing will only affect those who have no insurance at all, which makes this criticism all the more important to help this new medication reach those who would be the worst affected if they were to contract HIV.

It looks like the brand is owned by Moroccanoil Israel Ltd, according to this source: https://www.dnb.com/business-directory/company-profiles.moroccanoil_israel_ltd.e4e53c2d6638312e6f0b70c68a8cf55e.html#:~:text=MOROCCANOIL%20ISRAEL%20LTD%20is%20located,and%20Druggists'%20Sundries%20Merchant%20Wholesalers

The story on the About page of the article lists only one co-founder, Carmen Tal, who lives in Canada and bought the original business to sell their products outside of Israel. She says in several interviews that she found the products while visiting or living in Tel Aviv, examples listed here:

https://www.salonmagazine.ca/business-a-chat-with-moroccanoil-co-founder-carmen-tal/

https://venturesafrica.com/mining-liquid-gold-carmen-tal-ceo-moroccanoil/

So the company is originally Israeli, only sells to certain countries and no countries besides Israel in the Middle East (as listed on their webpage, as Israel is literally the only country they list under the Middle East section), and is still registered as being in Israel as far as I can see. They do seem to have gone to great lengths to try to hide that fact on their About page though, which I find odd.

My memory for general facts. My husband has ADHD that impacts his working memory, so he is constantly losing or forgetting things. Meanwhile my brain will remember where he put down his measuring tape three weeks ago and why he left it there. I also remember thing like song lyrics, history facts, fantasy/sci fi lore, and other stuff almost indefinitely. I do not have a perfect/eidetic memory, just a very good one, according to most people.

The downside of this is that it was cited as a main reason a psych, who agreed I met the criteria of being on the ASD spectrum, refused to give me an official diagnosis. He said that this meant I didn't have a specific special interest, and therefore I couldn't have autism. So now I have to find someone else who actually follows the criteria.

Apparently that women are people who are far more like men than they assume. Most of the perceived gender differences in behavior are due to social conditioning. People vary greatly from each other as individuals, but when comparing population groups the averages are pretty close, especially if you account for social norms of the environments people were raised in.

My most hated was macaroni salad. Bowtie noodles with Miracle Whip, peas, shredded carrot, dill, and salt. Occasionally other items would make an appearance, but the main recipe was the most common.

It was so bland and mushy, and it wasn't helped by the fact that it was made every few weeks during the summer, and in a quantity that meant I was eating it for lunch and dinner for almost a whole week every time it was made.

What about growers? All my plants and fungi grow like crazy, and my ability apparently extends to 'growing' recipes in the kitchen, whether by yeast or by ending up with way more than the recipe said.
