Having two dinners this year. My mother in law came over on Christmas Day, we had a Field Roast, garlic smashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, brandied cranberry sauce, and boozy nog, with plenty of cookies for dessert. It was a nice time, though a bit bittersweet as this is the first Christmas since my father in law passed.

This Sunday we are having friends over for another dinner, and I am making veggie pot pie, fondant potatoes, green beans in garlic butter, the rest of the cranberries, and ricotta cheesecake for dessert. It won't be a huge crowd, just doing dinner and some board games, so looking forward to that.

As a NY resident, her 'political concerns' are getting in the way of her doing anything useful and instead have her focusing on assetting her power over normal working people.

She pushed for an end to remote work and forcing return to office in 2021, ended the eviction moratorium in 2022, she agreed to a deal to let the taxpayers foot the bill for a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills in 2022, significantly delayed signing the Digital Fair Repair Act and kneecapped it by adding an amendment that allowed manufacturers to supply repair services instead of being forced to sell replacement parts, appointed a conservative (LaSalle) to the NY Court of Appeals, vetoed legislation to ban non-compete agreements, said that Israel had a right to "destroy Gaza", deployed the National Guard to crack down on "criminals" using the NYC subway, and proposed banning facemasks on the subway in response to protests.

Cuomo needed to go, but we need someone much better than her if we want someone to actually stand up against Trump.

...You are aware of how both allergies and air quality works, right? Also, most shows even in art houses don't include scent effects of any kind, hence the warning. If it were common, the warning would likely be unnecessary.

But lovely of you to claim I am the oversensitive one, as apparently adding a single word to an already existing warning, one that could literally save someone's life by preventing a physical ailment, is too much for you to handle reading!

Or we can use it as compost, which we should be moving towards producing and using instead of manure as fertilizer for a lot of our agriculture. That way it doesn't go to waste even if it does get 'thrown out'.

Usually if that happens it means one of a few things.

If it is intermittent and not accompanied by other symptoms, it may be because of a high protein content in the urine. This is pretty common, and can happen for a few reasons, but sometimes it just happens. If it happens super frequently (several times a week, for example), then get it looked at because it can be an indicator of bad kidney function.

If the froth is constant for a long period of time, it could indicate a UTI, even without other symptoms. If you have no other issues, you could try taking cranberry pills and see if it clears up. Again, if it keeps happening repeatedly, see a doctor just to be safe.

Last option is you could have an STI, but if you have no other symptoms and no reason to suspect exposure, then you can safely rule that out.

Source: I get this occasionally too and have nurses comment on it whenever I need to give a urine sample for various tests.

Thank you. Again, I know that not everyone will have the same answer, and no single answer will be right for every situation. I already know about a bunch of general ideas surrounding community restitution on various forms, but I know that it is a difficult discussion to have when the topic is a real situation and not a hypothetical.

Asking for people's thoughts on a subject is encouraging discussion, not asking for a favor. And why do I need to provide further evidence of having watched the video when, as I have stated before, the contents of the video are secondary to the existence of the video in the first place? This video is exactly like several other videos and articles about the subject, except it is the newest one, and is being posted in a space where (supposedly) people recognize that we have a very flawed legal system.

Given the fact that you have been the one dismissive of me, given that you assumed I hadn't watched the video based solely on the fact that I disagreed, tells me that you aren't interested in actually engaging in the discussion around my question. Instead you seem entirely focused on luring me into a discussion around whether the video's claims are true or not, which, as I said earlier, has nothing to do with the topic I am trying to stick to.

So again, even if everything in the video is 100% correct as stated, I still want to know what people think should be accepted as evidence of change of character. Obviously it is case dependent, but having a guideline will be helpful, especially if we are pushing for something like prison abolition, which a lot of people will see as extreme if there is no example of a replacement. Given that we specifically want a solution that involves reintegration of a person into society, determining what is required for that reintegration is key. Because right now, we are advocating for these policies while currently supporting a pattern of refusing to allow people like Beau to participate in communities based on past actions, even when all actions since are showing someone who is genuine and in no position to repeat past offences.

It drove me crazy too. It was actual macaroni when I was a kid, but then my mom decided bowties were fancier and started using those instead.

When recipes call for you to cook an item in a pan without first adding oil, they say to toast it to indicate that you are applying dry heat to it. For example, most Indian recipes call for toasting whole spices in a dry pan before grinding. That is also why you can toast marshmallows over an open flame.

It just irritates my mouth. May be oral allergy or just a reaction to the enzymes in the pineapple. It isn't as bad as my reaction to wine and vinegar though, so I have to see more specialists to figure that out lol.

Yes, I even passed my driver's test in a manual while needing to do a 3 point turn on a hill. I am almost 30, born and raised in the suburbs of New York.

I haven't driven manual in years, ever since that car fell victim to black ice and a guard rail, but I have done recent test drives of manuals without stalling, so I guess it is something you never forget once you know how.
