If it worries you that much and you don't have time to search your AUR packages one at a time, you could always run yay -R $(pacman -Qmq) to remove them all at once.

I miss the browser, but luckily I haven't played RS since the new CEO cancelled new Pride Events right after the Trump Admin was reelected.

Yeah, it seems like these sort of problems aren't necesarily due to an insecure system like the AUR but moreso because of the target's publicity and popularity which is definitely the case with the rise of CachyOS.

I'm not real clear on if this is the case but you could try:

  1. Have you installed or updated from the AUR before, such as with Yay? Specifically after June 5th? If so, check this list or the post above for a list of compromised packages. https://gr.ht/aur_pkg_list.txt

  2. Maybe pacman -Q | grep atomic-lockfile because that appears to be what the threat actor is installing but I'm not really sure if that's how it works...?

EDIT: If you really want to play it safe then you could try yay -R $(pacman -Qmq) to remove every aur package and wait out the storm, just be careful to backup important files.

I tend to be a little antsy around anti-capitalists. Too many bad run-ins with Tankies.

There is a Repo size limit on GitHub and Codeberg, sorry to say. It's definitely only in the MB. If you go over the size limit then there is a grace period followed by a deletion.

I'm still struggling to make Clip Studio Paint V1 run on it, I ended up having to boot into my windows drive and install it there to download my owned assets, but after changing over my computer to Linux it never BSOD crashes, all my steam games still run, and it starts up from shutdown in mere seconds which is about 1hr 40min faster than Windows 10 LTSC did.

I'm for sure never going back to Microsoft.

Sure you can, you just gotta wait for it to be orphaned and then you can do unimaginably horrible things with it. Of course, that doesn't constitute legal ownership, but still.

I don't like wireless or bluetooth because I think they could be mapping locations and nearby devices in order to identify me and my location, and build a commercial profile for advertisers and foreign psyops to purchase.

It's asking a lot to have people print and solder their own mice internals together, even with a parts list. I suppose making the chassis was already a bit of an ask as well, though.

Theres a big gap in the market and clearly not enough competition lol.

That implies that since the first DDR5 chips were a lower resolution it's possible to work at bigger sizes, but the lower memory size implies they wouldn't actually be useful.
