Well that's the neat part

At least it doesn't have super distracting glass effects everywhere.

It's called dynamic compression, often labeled as night mode. Makes quiet stuff louder and loud stuff more quiet. My AVR has it as a feature and probably most TVs as well.

I do have to oil the chain on my bike every now and then though. (I know about waxing, haven't made the jump yet)

I know right? It even has var with implicit typing now. While I prefer Kotlin any day, there's been quite a few qol improvements to Java over the last few years.

Since Java 21, this has been shortened significantly. https://www.baeldung.com/java-21-unnamed-class-instance-main

I didn't even notice. However now that I'm aware, I like that it's not shown. Displaying a total score just incentivises karma farming.

I don't think that, as Microsoft hasn't done a lot (any?) of that stuff in recent years. It's good to be cautious but really what is the problem with opening the source for something that already existed for a while and is embraced by many?

It's a reference to The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

Seeing this in an international community makes it so much more funny to me
