On one hand, I don't think Elon could actually "hack" a voting machine.

On the other, he did basically just pay people to vote for ~~him~~ trump, so maybe he had other, more heavy handed methods...

I honestly don't think the fediverse will ever take off - and that's a good thing. If it was to get too mainstream, eventually it would need to be standardised and controllerd to accommodate the average person, which would defeat the point of the fediverse as a whole. Imagine if everyone started using Linux as their daily driver tomorrow; a lot would be fixed, but a lot of the original identity would be broken
