They've been hearing for something for a while and if not Kirk it would be something else. I don't think that this will actually amount to much more than this weird nationalistic response to the death of a YouTuber.

It's the fear or apathy of the asshole to retaliate. I could be on a bus, and there could be an asshole playing music without headphones. Saying something could come with verbal abuse at the least and could end in a physical altercation with or without weapons at worst. As the annoyed passerby, is confronting the asshole worth the effort and risk for quiet?

I love calling people out when I can, but you gotta pick your battles.

Idk, I feel better with Kirk dead. Also, he can't keep spreading his hate to millions, so that's better too. Political violence doesn't always makes things better, but sometimes it does, and I think a lack of Trump would be a good thing.

Hand guns are difficult to be accurate with if you've never shot one, and still not easy if you have. Nobody is going to fire one for the first time and be good at it, but within 10-15' the difference is probably just if the shot was lethal or not. Anything with a longer barrel like a shotgun or rifle, as long as you're pointing in the general direction it's as simple as pulling the trigger. The recoil is easier to deal with and it's easier to aim. Loading could take a second to figure out, but that's something that can be worked out before ever pulling the trigger.

I think the fact that most school shootings don't end up with dozens of kills is because it's not super easy to be skilled with all aspects of a firearm, but it's easy enough for quick damage.

I'm not thrilled that it came to the point that someone had to get shot to make the world a better place. I would have preferred it if Kirk changed his tune or just disappeared into the nothing. Instead, he continued to spread hateful rhetoric that has directly lead to others getting hurt or having their freedoms taken away. The world was immediately a better place the moment that bullet hit. I have empathy for those close to and that loved Kirk and are mourning his loss, but that's met with the cautious optimism I have that those two kids have a chance at a better future.

Not you specifically, but this is pretty much the exact thing that I've seen non Americans calling for for months. Calls for why are Americans aren't doing something about our Trump problem. Now when someone pulls the trigger and a domino falls, people around the world are clutching their pearls.

I'm not calling for violent action, but I'm also not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. When life gives you fascists, you make fertilizer.

If you could go back in time or have someone else do it and kill young adult Hitler, would you do it or condone that action?

Unfortunately, most places in the US are at will employment, so it doesn't really matter what was said, if an employer wants you gone, even if it's due to outside pressures, they just have to say the word.

This user has a hardon for thinking everything is an American coup or that somehow all bad world events are thanks to American imperialism. Bring your tin foil hat.

Maybe if there were precedent, you'd have a point. This ain't Russia. Nobody is looking to escalate with them and would prefer if they just stayed in their own borders.

While I don't discount this as a possibility, I think it's more likely that someone was done with the rhetoric and took actions into their own hands. The alleged writing on the casings also has precedent (see United Health CEO).

With the info released showing where they think the shot came from, that's not a difficult shot to make. I'm not a gun guy, but my brother has a .30-06, same as reported for this, and I helped him dial in his scope at 200 yards. In 4 shots my grouping was within a couple inches, and that's the first time I ever fired that rifle. If someone practiced, hitting a target that wasn't moving from the assumed distance is completely viable.

I'd love if this came out and proved to be a false flag operation, where the shooter is a conservative ordered to make the hit from this administration. I don't think it will, but on top of an already winning situation, that would be the cherry on top.

I don't know that duped is the right word. There's no way the people that voted for him didn't know he is the man that he is.

I'll throw out a "fucking kill me" or an "I'd rather be dead" now and again, but I've never contemplated suicide. Context is key. I won't say something like that around a truly bad situation, but if I get a paper cut, I may suggest that taking my life is a better situation. I don't do it often and it's only around people that know me well enough to know that I have a dark sense of humor and that I'm not serious.

I too lived on a dollar or less a day before becoming the lower middle class person I am today. It's easy when your parents buy everything for you and you don't have expenses.
