I've heard of people having problems creating accounts with VPNs, so I'm gonna bite the bullet and disable it for account creation. Then turn it on and hopefully don't run into problems.

Yeah I get that, hence I'm trying to merely maximize privacy. It's unavoidable unfortunately.

Preferably all 3. The whole experience. Notifications not necessary.

Crosspost because still getting used to lemmy

I have to create one for personal reasons. I know it’s inherently un-private, but how can I maximize privacy while creating & using it without running into problems?

Very good idea, but unfortunately I don't have root (damn Huawei)

I was hoping I'd avoid this. Alas, thanks for the help.

Literally nothing works. As in, hitting Go after entering anything into the URL bar does nothing (including search suggestion), clearing cache also hangs, "sharing" a link to it is like inputting it in the URL bar (i.e. does nothing)

I'm not sure what the problem is & when it appeared, but I roughly correspond it to the last update.

Likewise I have horrible posture from studying. How have I never even heard of android mirroring?! I'll try out guiscrcpy, many thanks

What benefits does it over GIMP? I've honestly never heard of it before

Mull hasn't been working in the last update so I'm trying to downgrade without losing my settings, but that requires me to delete the app first then reinstall. Is there a way to backup/export my settings?

Edit: I bit the bullet and reinstalled Mull after deleting it 🤕

Windscribe is also based in Canada - I don't trust them for many reasons. AzireVPN seems good too albeit a bit expensive.

Personally I'm getting AirVPN once my Surfshark subscription ends (I know, it's awful, but I already payed for it 🙄)

Likewise, UntrackMe is the single most underrated app out there, despite being so incredibly useful and I use it all the time. I only hope they add more redirect services or at least custom ones (e.g. the ones on this browser extension that I also use https://libredirect.github.io/)

Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Overseerr - a suite of media and download management applications for Plex Media Servers

Have you considered Kodi or Jellyfin? They're more private alternatives to Plex
