I'm sure it has been used at times by uncool people, but dragon flag goes hard

Of course she doesn't care now, she's only a few years away from retiring or dying on the job anyways

Rick Scott champion of the people

The former hospital company CEO oversaw what was the biggest case of Medicare fraud at the time. Under his leadership, Columbia/HCA gave kickbacks to doctors to refer patients and then made patients’ conditions appear worse than they were so Medicare would pay more.

When Scott was forced out of the company as it was under investigation, he left with $300 million in stock, a $5.1 million severance, and a $950,000-per-year consulting contract for five years. The hospital, meanwhile, was fined $1.7 billion, the largest health care fraud settlement in history until that point.

You gotta be a real sicko to have the substack app installed and on top of that have their push notifications enabled

It's amazing that "lifetime" positions are not considered controversial in and of themselves by most people.

Hope Miriam Adelson is happy, she got what she paid for.

RIP and him dying and Jonathan Joss getting murdered puts a damper on the KOTH relaunch, but I imagine both will be memorialized in some way on it.

I don't think a lot of legal food can be considered poison, but both HFCS and sugar soda are really close. Also any other drink with heaps of sugar dumped into it. If you had to pour 40-50g of sugar into your glass you would likely not do it, but when someone else does it for you, you don't have to think about it.

I wouldn't post to any community they moderate anyways, one of the biggest rage baiters on lemmy

Every news source has bias, Al Jazeera has over 3000 staff, over 400 journalists and access that comes along with being that massive of a news agency. Obviously they are biased towards reporting that favors the government of Qatar who funds them. Particularly if a lot of stuff is happening in the middle east and Al Jazeera has more journalists in those countries with better connections to those countries they are gonna be first to cover a lot of things in the region. They are also much less likely to use passive voice and other qualification when talking about things like Palestine in their reporting. A lot of people don't want to read "50 Palestinians are shot" instead of "IDF battalion kills 50 Palestinians".
