git-rivera is a git-log grapher and reimpl of git-foresta in go, with full graph coloring uwu
i wrote it solely because i wanted full graph coloring, but it has some extra things, like

  • being able to view the graph of any local repo with --repo, defaulting to the cwd like git-foresta and git-forest before,
  • defaulting to reversing the graph, putting the tips at the bottom and root at the top, and
  • grep-like --start and --end for printing a section of the graph

it should be mostly 1:1 in functionality with git-rivera, but im no git wiz x3
the main feature is branches are colored from tip to root, including merges :3 you can see it in action in the screenshots below.

screenshot of git-rivera output, printing my local cluttered bitaxeorg/esp-miner repo with the options '--all --start 86523a69b --end 893668fba --style 6'

my local cluttered bitaxeorg/esp-miner with the options --all --start 86523a69b --end 893668fba --style 6

screenshot of git-rivera output, printing 0xf0xx0/cli-pride-flags with the option '--end 4d4e1ff'

0xf0xx0/cli-pride-flags with the option --end 4d4e1ff

tl;dr git log --graph but configurable and readable

v1.1.4 brings zmq support for faster chain updates (using hashblock) and many small bugfixes :3

not much to say umu

It sounds overcomplicated, is there really a need for the blockchain aspect? Could the same security be provided by a simpler method (like how keybase has their identity proofs?) but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it ig
