I use exactly the same in my new system to hoard data. It is perfect and a huge upgrade from a HDD. If you are used to sata ssd speeds, you will also get a nice improvement.

Crucial generally makes great stuff. The BX series is low budget, but everything else I have used is awesome. I have two MX500 2TB, a 1TB version, and a P3. No complaints from any of it. I upgraded RAM in an older laptop, and it works perfect as well, and the price is nice.
