If you're worried about people cancelling, maybe improve your service or reduce the cost so people are willing to stay before they want to cancel?
How dare you. They'll lobby and bribe and legislate their competition out of existence, as is tradition. It was good enough for the prior board of directors, and the board before that, and it's good enough for this board dadgummit!
It seems to me that the service provider wants that "please don't leave. We'll not be a total dick for like 3 months; will that help?" opportunity.
ALL services should be just as easy to cancel as they are to start up. Telecom stuff, gym memberships, streaming plans, everything.
