I'll just go ahead and ban myself from buying anything they sell.

You should do this with all big corporations. No really, support local and co-ops.

This is the same company that (accidentally?) supported gay genocide.

[-] chocosoldier@lemmy.ml 7 points 10 months ago

I don't disbelieve it, but I'd like a better source than Gay Fox ^TM^. I'm trans gay and leftist, but Pink News is a sensationalist rag with no integrity.

[-] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

Don't know anything about that publication. It was just one of the first that came up, but there's plenty of other sources.

Is Coke this full-on in Russia?

[-] Fisk400@feddit.nu 36 points 10 months ago

Apparently not. From my research (didn't save any links) they just packed up and left without any fuss. Ironically that also resulted in massive profits for Pepsi because their nemesis disappeared over night.

It's a different scope for each company. Coke just loses soft drink sales. PepsiCo is like an entire portfolio of junk food.

How about all corporations stay out of international politics?

[-] Tosti@feddit.nl 49 points 10 months ago

No, if they play internationally they cannot. Telling individuals what they can and cannot talk about is another thing though.

[-] Rodeo@lemmy.ca 13 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

They're not telling individuals what they're allowed to talk about. These are rules for official company marketing communications.

We may not agree with their stance, but they are well within their rights here.

I would prefer it if corporations just didn't have the power to sway international politics. That's not their wheelhouse and it's fucked up that their decisions have global consequences.

Is there a compiled list of Pepsi shit that I can just stop buying? Let them lose revenue from everywhere else in the world and replace it with Russian rubles. I’m sure that will work out for them.

[-] PanArab@lemmy.ml 4 points 10 months ago

Ukraine lost and Pepsi knows it

[-] JimmyBigSausage@lemm.ee 4 points 10 months ago

Some corporations are truly multinational. Can’t quite tell Russia company to not be a Russia company. That is just how it is. Sidenote: I have a B.S. in Int’l Business

X to doubt. Pepsi isn't a Russian company.
