On Christmas Day, it is time to reflect on what Christ would have wanted. I doubt bombing the descendants of his friends and family would be it.

Why would Israelis care about Christ?

[-] groupofcrows@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 years ago
  1. He's jewish.

  2. He's a home town kid who made it big in the city.

  3. He pays off other peoples' debts.

Even the church says it is genocide. Lets hope NATO doesn't invade Vatikan to establish the correct democracy there for saying wrong things, like Haitian president Aiside when he demanded reparations from France.

We all know that NATO won't invade the Vatican because their resources are tied up in Russia, in supporting US interests in Taiwan, in blocking Ansarallah in the Red Sea, in supporting Guyana in South America...

How are those going, by the way?

Do it, Frank. Declare a crusade.

I missed the Lemmy post of the speech he gave when he called the Israeli military terrorists

There's not much the Pope can do tbh

Even though the IDF has been bombing churches, the Pope is powerless

[-] BruceTwarzen@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

That goes for literally everything.

[-] HootinNHollerin@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago

That’s why they power trip on kiddos

Israel is commiting genocide.

A church that believes in drinking blood as a part of their sacrament calling civilian deaths a 'harvest' is sure an interesting look.
I mean the IDF is fucked and the situation they've caused in Gaza is a humanitarian catastrophe. But, this feels like he's whining that someone else's blood god is stealing all the blood.

[-] limitedduck@awful.systems 7 points 2 years ago

Superficially I guess. The difference is Jesus' blood was given freely by him in direct contrast to the Old Testament bloody sacrifices. Lam of God and all that

[-] explodicle@local106.com 4 points 2 years ago

That hypocrite, he drinks imaginary blood yet claims to oppose real bloodshed!
