In today's instance of messed up dreams, I had a very vivid and lengthy one about an insane weather event where BOM predicted it would go down to -26 and -28 in Melbourne over the weekend (just the weekend!) and the forecast recommended in the strongest terms that everybody stay indoors as much as possible. Then in the dream I went to the DT and everyone was losing their shit and people were sharing info of which supermarkets still had stock of anything and locations of official "cold shelters" operated by councils for people to take refuge in if needed. The Alps were being evacuated and there was talk of crop failures and potential deaths in the thousands. It was very real in my head.

It wasn't even that cold this morning!

There has been a pretty big bus crash near Safety Beach. Truck carrying scaffolding t-boned a bus.

Good god what is going on with buses in this country?!

There were quite a few in 1989 in relatively quick succession, mainly caused by tired / drugged truck drivers hitting buses on the highway.

It ultimately led to working hours restrictions, plus drug testing for truck drivers.

ffs, I thought the swishing sound I could hear was part of the music, but then I noticed the music was over ( listening to Interstellar ) and it was just the bloody dishwasher making noises

.😂😂😂 what does this say about the music I listen to , what does it say about my discernment

I wish my office walls weren't 70% window. I could be napping under my desk right now.

Funny sort of an evening. Started with, I think I’ll finish that little bit of cleaning… Next thing I know I’m behind the bloody washing machine. Late dinner out and now it’s past my bedtime and I’m still out… Thank goodness tomorrow is my Friday…

There appears to be some sunlight outdoors. What do I do in this situation?

Close the curtains, you don't want to get irradiated

Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Or you could just shoot at it, Florida-style.

lol. reminds me of 'Airplane'...aka Flying High here.

" Ladies and gentlemen, this is your stewardess speaking... We regret any inconvenience the sudden cabin movement might have caused, this is due to periodic air pockets we encountered, there's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your flight... By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Well today's stew has become more of a chunky soup. Chick peas sweet potato and cauliflower. Chilli overpowers the curry and other spices, but it's freaking tasty. Looks like sick, but luckily it's been a long time since I was sick.

Already dropped at least an inch of my waist since stopping drinking. Go metabolism and keeping kinda busy. Could also be the atrophy as well of course. I only really know because this skirt I got a fortnight ago fits a lot better and this boys 16 minecraft tshirt I bought isn't skin tight like it was back in April. Smaller and smaller, and no, I don't have an eating disorder. Thanks for checking in with me though I appreciate it friends.

For the first time in 12 months I feel like I can stop wondering how things are going to turn out. I finally put the finishing touches on the music setup, the tape deck is online. Now I can play stuff I have on tape from bandcamp artists with added hiss and less dynamic range and can't skip tunes. All speakers in their right place and everything is patched. Oh no, I forgot something, one thing left to do dammit. After my journal post I guess.

Again, thx for reading. I'm in such a fucking good place today I'm going to cry now.

I’m teaching a class that involves the students having to watch a movie each week to accompany the content being taught. I’ve watched a lot of the prescribed films in the past, but I need to brush up on them before the semester starts. So I have 10 to watch in a few weeks.

Getting started with the first one. Made a cuppa and put on Harakiri.
