I added a text replacement to replace ~blahaj~ with blåhaj on my laptop. Apparently, it doesn't work in my web browser (Brave), though.
But still... 
I'm guessing this is because of the å (a with overring)? If so, ⌥+a should work in any text input field on Mac, and is more broadly useful! You could use it for… angstrom units! And… er… Swedish folk singers?

Okay, shit, that was easier than I thought. I'm more used to writing French accents that I didn't think about that.
Apparently, I involved a Lemmy formatting code to turn ~blahaj~ into subscript rather than wrapping it in code tags like this:
~blahaj~
Also, now it's working in my browser. blåhaj blåhaj blåhaj.
