Seeing the Sega-CD with a retail price of $49.99 hurt my soul.

I bought mine on release day and specifically remember selling my entire pewter figure collection and just barely having the $311.99 (after taxes) for my Sega-CD at "Best"... Not "Best Buy"... Just "Best".

Still don't regret it.

I remember Best. Basically the same as Service Merchandise. Write the item number down, go to a old 3270 terminal (think green screen crt), order the item, and wait for it to come down the conveyor thingy… good times.

On your defense, at least it wasn't 32x.

SegaCD had some fantastic soundtracks and memorable games I still play.

I am a proud, release day 32X owner as well.

There are dozens of us.

Still have the tower of power sitting pretty on the top one of my retro console stands. My Dad's Atari 2600 is on top of the other one.

Tom: We'll win the US market eventually.

Narrator: They did not win in the US market
