Are they protesting capitalism or just trying to survive? I suppose both would be true.
Survival is a protest of capitalism at this point.
I would like to think there are vegans who steal meat. Considering veganism ~~is~~ (should be) about not supporting the meat industry or harm to animals, and not about consumption. Probably not the case though. IMO it would be nice if the theft were focused on animal products.
I got hit by a hit-and-run enshitified web with that #dazedDigital link. I pay for measured rate internet so i disable images in my browser. But that page has auto-playing videos that cannot be blocked.. fuck me. I wish I could have known in advance to use Lynx for that link.

No worries. I didn’t test the archived version. I couldn’t really expect all those sharing links to know about that.. it’s a browser oversight to some extent. I don’t know if it’s an animated GIF or js, but showing animated GIFs when images are disabled is likely a browser bug.
