If wasting the end pieces of sliced bread upsets you, I've got some devastating news...

[-] miss_brainfart@lemmy.ml 36 points 2 years ago

Wasting anything that's still safe to eat should upset you

[-] rbesfe@lemmy.ca 39 points 2 years ago

Don't cry over stapled bread

[-] rmuk@feddit.uk 27 points 2 years ago

Noted. Can you offer me any advice regarding this milk I just spilled?

[-] dom@lemmy.ca 23 points 2 years ago

Ah dude. I'm sorry. That's devastating. It's ok to cry. Anyone would

On a meta note, I just fell for your community link.

[-] silas@programming.dev 4 points 2 years ago

If it makes you feel better, I fell for my own community link

At least we know which side OP's bread is ~~buttered~~ stapled on.

[-] PrivateNoob@sopuli.xyz 13 points 2 years ago

Is it really a waste if it's a bread in the forest? I'm pretty sure there are atleast some animals which would definitely ate this.

Oh no, not 1 (one) slice of bread! Millions will starve!

[-] hdnsmbt@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Is it still 1 (one) slice of bread if it's a whole community of people sharing pics of how they wasted bread?

Is is still wasted if it's 1 (one) slice of bread?

🤔

Well, think of it this way. Since a monkey will be able to eat this, it'll mean one less gazelle eaten. So really this saves lives

[-] Disco_Dougie@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I don't know a whole lot about monkeys, but I'm pretty sure they don't eat gazelles.

Reposting from a couple days ago:

I'm legally obliged to shill the various crafting communities, my two most used are !knitting@lemmy.world and !lemmy_stitch@sh.itjust.works but you can find lots more in the sticky thread in either of those.

Then there's also !imadethis@lemm.ee which has been a bit quiet lately so if you've made something, go show it off!

[-] livus@kbin.social 5 points 2 years ago

I love anarchychess.

[-] Vex_Detrause@lemmy.ca 18 points 2 years ago

We need that bot that links the top 3 post of the community.

Hobbydrama@lemmyworld

Although I am pretty sure it's dead... whenever I check there is only one user... and I am pretty sure that's me.

Preach

Found minimalism this year, it's been a game changer for me. Have reduced my wardrobe by half, worked through all the misc pantry items I've been hoarding (or threw out shockingly expired canned goods...), have away stuff from my basement. Feels amazing, less clutter and more control.

So much stuff was "good to have" or "just in case" with a layer of dust on it. From a mental health perspective it's been really nice to go through and keep up with.

[-] zakobjoa@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Good for you.

I constantly have to guard my stuff against my gf who has minimalist tendencies. She doesn't get that I like having stuff around that I pick up once every three years. It brings back memories for me. Also, who throws out books because they've read them? Heresy, I say!

@AnimalsInHats (or !AnimalsInHats for our lemmy siblings). I would love to see someone other than me posting there!

[-] moosetwin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 years ago

internet_funeral, don't remember the instance.

!chainsawfolk@lemmy.world (I'm tired to be the only one posting).

[-] livus@kbin.social 6 points 2 years ago

13thfloor at kbin.

Link for lemmy = !13thfloor

Link for kbin = @13thfloor

[-] gigachad@feddit.de 13 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

!13thfloor@kbin.social

You need to add the instance too

[-] livus@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I did but kbin destroys it, it doesn't show up.

I'll try to add backslashes and see if that helps !13thfloor@kbin.social

I thought a sawmill based community would be great as I would love to post some cool videos of things but it never went anywhere on reddit. Guess it's just too niche.

[-] Obi@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 years ago

I'd happily look at sawmill posts.
