Recommendations thread (self.folkmusic)

I like some fairly niche genres, which then makes it difficult to find new music in that genre. Thought it might be worth having a thread where people can post artists they enjoy, but where they're struggling to find similar music, to let the hive mind provide them with ideas!

On a more traditional bent, also really enjoy Brian Finnegan's work in Flook/Kan -- the almost percussive flute is great fun. Any recommendations?

For my part, I really enjoy the folk fusion band the Peatbog Faeries -- up tempo bagpipes, fiddle and electronic sounds. They've recently released a new album (I See a World), on which my favourite song is probably the second (The Humours of Ardnamurchan). I've struggled to find similar music -- the closest I've got is Monster Ceilidh Band, Niteworks, and Elephant Sessions. Any recommendations of that ilk more than welcome!
