Microsoft doesn't understand consent. Everyone ought to stop accepting its abuse and kick Windows to the curb as a matter of basic self-respect.

Oh the herd, 🙄 how they make the world such a ugly place.
You do realize that IT admins have no control over the business software environment, right? They get hired to maintain it, they do not have purchasing authority.
I am at a high enough position in my company that I could literally force everyone to transition to Mac or Linux.
They would not be able to stop me from doing that short of firing me.
But they would fire me. 100% no doubt about it. I would not have a job there within a day if I did that.
For real.
I'm a Windows sysadmin and I desperately want Microsoft to just make the OS that everybody clearly wants.
Actually, they already make the OS that most everyone wants. The LTSC version of Windows 10 and 11 are both eminently usable. They just don't sell it to anyone unless you have an enterprise account and buy the keys in bulk.
It's funny how people can get a pirated ltsc copy, and it will be better than the legitimate product offered to them
