Alright LETS GO! The Blazer's youth movement starts here!

[-] Sigmatank@midwest.social 5 points 2 years ago

I don't know that I'll be up late enough eastern time to watch, but I might have to hit this game up on league pass, as I want to see how the new Blazers team is gelling

It's a small sample size, but from what I saw in pre-season, the Henderson/Ayton connection excites me. Looking forward to seeing how that develops in the regular season.

Interesting matchup given the similarly mixed opinions of both these teams. I thought they looked alright. Both teams are taking new approaches on offense, especially Toronto. More movement, but you can tell they're still getting to know each other.

I cannot wait to really watch some Wemby. This will be a fun one.

[-] rezz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

He's so good man. It's stunning.

[-] Sigmatank@midwest.social 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly what's been impressive so far is the continued improvement of Sochan and Vassell. But Wemby is still incredible

[-] pobautista@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

Not looking good for Wemby already in foul trouble in quarter #3 :-(

For anyone not already aware, we have a game thread over at c/nyknicks as well. Not trying to hijack this thread, just wanted to make folks aware of the knicks community too!

Just caught the end of this match as I waited for the Mavs-Spurs game. Wow, pretty good debut by Porzingis with 30 points

Sorry Pistons, I chose to watch Wemby’s debut over your first game 🥲 Maybe you would’ve won in clutch time had I watched? We’ll never know…

Wizards @ Pacers [PARENT COMMENT]

[-] Sigmatank@midwest.social 5 points 2 years ago

God, the Pacers look so happy running out there. The Wizards don't seem like they're trying, so it's hard to judge how good they are, but the vibes seem immaculate

SGA looks unstoppable. I had high hopes but didn't expect to be up by 20 at any point

[-] rezz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Oh shit a Trek fan in /c/NBA?! I'm middle of season four DS9 for the first time right now after doing all of TNG. Just watched Little Green Men.

SGA is goated man. I have Thunder at 52 wins and 3 seed this year--homer take but I think it's realistic and I wouldn't be surprised if we shocked everyone as a 2nd seed.

[-] Tuvix@startrek.website 1 points 2 years ago

I contain multitudes (Tuvok and Neelix specifically). I've been debating starting DS9 again. I think it would really benefit from a rewatch.

But yeah I'll be happy as long as we stay healthy and competitive. A six seed is as high as I'm willing to say out loud.

[-] rezz@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Wow, incredible Holmgren finish.

[-] rezz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

We're so nice on the offensive glass, too.
