As Christine Lemmer-Webber says in What happened to the fight for the internet?, bad internet bills are being proposed across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK -- and really across the world.

Suppose we decide to make it a collective project and galvanize people around the idea of "Save fedi, fight badinternet bills!" There are enough of us here, many of us with broad networks outside fedi as well, that we could really make a difference.

What kinds of things could we do to make ourselves more effective?

There are a bunch of initial ideas in the Mastdoon thread, but suggestions welcome whether or not you've read it!

Welcome!

Can you imagine, years ago how the internet was before? We know Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube. We knew blogger, Tumblr, Skyrock... and long before, it was the forum era as phpBB..and mail-lists.

And now with ActivityPub, we are reshaping the web, and achieving much more with lots of freedom. So thank you all, and welcome ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ˜
