A truck driver from St. Louis County had a peculiar experience when someone dumped AirPods in front of his house. The police were called, and they used geolocation technology to track down the culprit - right into this innocent man's home! Despite the damage caused by their investigation, no resolution has been reached yet, and now a federal lawsuit has been filed.

This incident highlights concerns about law enforcement's ability to use geodata to solve crimes. If you're in an area where a crime is committed and can't provide a solid alibi, they may use this technology to pinpoint your location at the time of the crime. And if they can't find another explanation, they might just pin it on you. Wouldn’t be the first time cops have lied.

I'm reminded of a recent incident where a family called the police for help, only to have an officer shoot one of their own members. It's unsettling to think that people are being treated as suspects based on circumstantial evidence or flawed technology.

Today, I saw a video of an Amazon drone delivering a package - which ended up in a pond! If someone were accused of stealing this package and couldn't provide a better explanation, they'd likely be considered the prime suspect. The AI might even determine that person is most likely to have committed the crime, eroding their constitutional rights.

In such cases, law enforcement might show up at your doorstep with a SWAT team, breaking down the door if necessary - all because of faulty technology and an over reliance on geolocation data.

The great lakes are a well known human trafficking path. Snatch girls in Toledo, put them on a boat and by the time the Coast Guard gets through the red tape they are long gone into Canada.

Unmanned boats like this would be good for things like that. But yes more surveillance will be used to the detriment of ordinary people too.
