Once, someone I knew who had a Polish background and a lot of those letters grouped together in his surname got arrested. I was responsible for his bail, so when his court date was approaching, the bail bondsman called to remind me. It wasn't anyone who had interacted with him or me directly, though, so in the voicemail he left he started with "hi, I'm calling about Mr ... Oh man, I'm gonna mess this up ... "

As an aside, the person who accepted my deposit for the bail had a business card that labeled him as "The Butcher." He was very affable, though, so while I was filling out the forms I asked him about the nickname, expecting the worst. (I was, and honestly still am, pretty sheltered.)

It turned out that, before he worked in that field, he was literally a butcher. It wasn't exactly comforting, but not as bad as I was expecting.
