Impressive, is there a downside to that technique besides having to carry multiple wands?
Cost, manufacturing time, and access to materials. (Assuming D&D 5e based on the video) It would cost 100gp and take 10 days (5 with help) per wand. This is assuming you can get the materials in the first place. But once you have them (or if you can purchase them) then there is no downside.

Hmm yeah that is kind of a big drawback. I guess that's a pretty big reason most people only have one wand. It's just not economical to have a bunch.
Looking at the system being discussed, you don't actually need a wand to cast spells. Most people don't really have a choice on how many wands they get. And those that do have much better items that would take the same time and resources to make, so they make those instead.
