I don't give a crap what Microsoft's doing with their garbage pile of an OS, but this does imply that the AI hype is finally starting to fail, which is definitely good news.

It will end up in the task bar, one big button always there, for all the programs, even if they aren't from microsoft.

Could the simply be removing the choice of using it?

Even if I cared, I still wouldn’t care.

I’m now waiting to see if Microslop™ decides to remove the Copilot button requirement from laptop keyboards, or whether it will go further and remove the other unnecessary Copilot buttons that it has added into various parts of Windows 11 in recent months.

Not gonna happen, but removing the Copilot button would be the thing that takes me from actively boycotting Microslop™ to passively boycotting Microsoft again.
