i am done with the one i am currently using after they discontinued the paid version and replaced it with a subscription years ago. i then used the free version with an ad blocker but today i opened it to find the message "allow tracking" with no opt out...

i know weather tokens aren't free but the first question is if there even is one that has a rain radar. it's the one feature i find useful (and why i kept using the old app as long as possible...) but it's mostly absent from apps it seems.

it doesn't need to be free or completely open source, just no subscription.

The german wetter.com has that feature.

I use Cirrus because I love its widget, and it does have rain radar. It's GPL-3.0

Quickweather Has decent radar and info.

But I still like and use the 5-day forecast graphs from Forecastie

Did a quick search on F-Droid and found RadarWeather. Maybe it'll work for you.

I use cirrus for radar and the radar widget, breezy for everything else.

Would Breezy work for you?

thanks, i tried it at some point and i just reinstalled it to have a look but it doesn't seem to have a rain radar (unless it is hidden somewhere). i am looking for a map like this:

cirrus has that rain radar

i prefer OSS weather but their map doesn't work for me. Model comparison is really useful and i haven't seen it on any other app.

quick weather has a full screen rain radar but the rest of the ui is not customisable :/

Never delved deep so I'm not sure. For me its general weather, sun shine, rain or snow and that's it.
