I wish I knew. Sounds to me that society is compromised of sadists and masochists in the closet to allow so much to be taken away from them.

I wish there was a more direct way to extract wealth from the ultra rich. All their access to resources are either speculative assets or digital currency of some kind.

It's easy. Treat speculative assets used as collateral for loans as realized gains. Could also go for a double whammy and tax the loan as income.

It would be simple to exclude regular people. Just apply it to any loans totaling something like over 100x the average yearly take-home income of the bottom 10% of earners within a 1 year period. (~$1.5m currently)

If they want bigger loans without taxes, they have to pay people more.
