Power saving mode sounds good. Of course I want to conserve battery.

But what does power saving mode actually do? What features is it slowing or disabling in order to save power?

in ios it’ll most likely limit background app refresh & din the display

in android it’ll most likely limit features like battery saver does

No more 3D buildings (Buildings3d off), no oblique perspective, no GPS tracking, no traffic jam information, no more OSM edit uploads. However, map downloads will continue!

GPS will still work. I believe it's referring to recording of GPX tracks.
