If we have any real plan for data sovereignty, the time to start implementing it is before I was born.

To add to the article, Persona is also one of the companies at the centre of the recent furore around Discord age verification.

That's among the reasons I never had a LinkedIn account.

Even the original use case for LinkedIn asked you to have your entire work history and contact information on the site. That alone always made it a massive target for bad actors trying to collect information to use for identity theft.
