Can you recommend some FOSS alternatives to Google Phone (dialer)?

Fossify phone works just fine for me. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fossify.phone/

I agree. Does the trick. I also like the Fossify Calendar app and the voice recorder. Text messaging sucks. I used the whole ecosystem previously and the texting app was really my only complaint.

The fossify dialer is good. If you want you can also try lineage os dialer.
