Someone needs to explain to the morons that market performance has no bearing on the majority of people's perception of the economy. When we have seen decades of our raises being less than inflation, our purchasing power is eroded to the point where we are choosing what essential we are doing without.
My company's stock is up 30% but they can't give a raise over 1.3%. Probably going to have some layoffs soon.
