My local gym is crazy expensive and it's why i don't climb: ~$70/mo

Damn, yeah seems like my gym is the cheapest I can possibly find ($30/mo)

I pay about 70€ a month for gym memberships, and maybe 50-100€ per year for shoes/resoling. Maybe add in 50-100€ per year for random gear, as I'm still building up my inventory

Gym membership is ~93 a month which is very high but we have two gyms with a third location opening next year so you are getting a lot for the money including free classes (yoga, weightlifting etc) at one of the locations.

Gear wise I buy a pair of shoes every 18 months or so. Scarpa vapor v, won’t wear anything else. Those are around 200. Plus a bag of chalk every so often so another few bucks.

I have all the gear I'll need for a long time because I'm not trying to do new things, just enjoying climbing when I get to go.

The local bouldering gym allows you to buy entry passes in bulk, so I don't have a monthly fee.

The entry passes stack up like crazy though

Bouldering
45€ on membership, and then maybe 30€ per year for resoling and 8€ per year for chalk. I have 2 pairs of identical shoes (scarpa instinct vs) that im pretty happy with, so i think the only thing i might get in the next year is some durable sport clothing (recommendations?)

Idk man, don't ask me, I just wear jeans and thick pants. Possibly stuff you wear hiking would be good?
